A journey from the “personal” to the “professional” that leads to the community
Theme: “Where do we stand? Where are we heading? Challenges we face as women in the workplace”
One in two jobs in Greece is held by a woman. However, despite their significant presence, women face the “glass ceiling” phenomenon* on a daily basis, along with deeply rooted biases, discrimination, and multiple responsibilities that often turn them into… superheroes!
With the participation of international expert Carla Delfos and the Art & Futures Foundation, and with the support of the Municipality of Aspropyrgos and the Vasileios Tsigkos Foundation, we are organizing an innovative workshop dedicated to female farmers, laborers, and workers in the service sector from Aspropyrgos and the wider Western Attica region.
Together, we will share, record, and highlight our personal stories in a participatory workshop that will shed light on our collective needs and strengths, aiming for solidarity and broader social engagement.
Date: February 27, 2025
Time: 10:00–11:30
Location: Cultural Center of the Municipality of Aspropyrgos
Who can participate?
Women’s communities from Aspropyrgos and Western Attica, female farmers, laborers, service sector workers, women’s cooperatives, women’s associations, and more.
*Invisible barriers that prevent women from advancing into leadership positions, despite their qualifications and abilities.
