This is a participatory and interdisciplinary action organized by Dr. Emilia Bouriti and the Syn+Ergasia Art Platform as part of the Autumn activities. The central reference point is the symbol of the pomegranate and the Homeric Hymn to Demeter, focusing on Persephone’s descent into Hades and her return to the light.

Spyros Veroutis’ farm in Aspropyrgos is transformed into a panorama of the arts with performances, visual installations, storytelling, Arvanitic and Pontic laments, music, and discussions with the communities.

Rural cultivation and peri-urban agriculture engage in dialogue with contemporary art and memory through a group of actors, visual artists, musicians, singers, cultivators from local communities, as well as other significant artists from various regions.

The action is also the result of research conducted by Emilia Bouriti and community groups, focusing on the search for stories about life, death, and laments. The richness of Arvanitic and Pontic culture is timeless. It evokes emotion as it brings to the surface the intangible cultural heritage of the communities and their sustainable agricultural practices. It inspires artists to create contemporary interdisciplinary works, forming a framework for the emergence of new communities.
